Description

Vintage Tone for Modern Times.
Many players are seeking Gretsch-like tone in a PAF form factor. Others have told us that a great PAF should sound like a great Tele set only bigger & noiseless. While others just want their Gibson to sound like a Rickenbacker. What if you could some how merge the best characteristics of these amazing pickups and fit them into a standard Humbucker housing? Sounds like a dream doesn’t it?

We call this the 1958 Twang P.A.F. set because that’s the first year we started seeing Filtertron equipped Gretsch Guitars. That is the core tone this set is based on. This design took a few non-stop years of R&D to get just right. We’ve added a little extra fatness to it for the PAF vibe. We’ve also made Bridge really cut like a Tele. As one final twist we’ve voiced the Neck & Bridge very differently to give the Tele goodness when both pickups are used together.

Using our proprietary techniques we’ve added enhanced dynamics & increased sustain. This will also enable you to hear the previously hidden harmonics from your guitar. You’ll notice these tonal differences immediately.

These are the Best Humbucker Pickups for Twangy PAF tone but they also work great for any Guitar that lacks clarity and dynamics. Many Nashville Musicians own this set but lots of other guitarists from the Rock, Blues & even the Jazz scene have sweetened a lackluster guitar with these.

There is reason you almost never see these pop up for sale on the used market. Most self-respecting guitarist would rather cut off their hands than sell their Tone Specific’s. If you are like most of our customers, you’ll order multiple sets upon hearing these.

Our painstaking design and testing process has yielded pickups that that sound great with tube amps, pedals, solid state amps, digital devices and even software. The Pro’s tell us they are very tube-like in their response.

We have a hard time making these quickly enough because pro’s are putting these in all of their main guitars including their vintage guitars.
