Fernando Pareta is and Argentinian guitarist and singer with great national an international projection.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He grew up in direct contact with music, listening to his grandfather´s bandoneon, first bandoneon of Horacio Salgan´s orchestra.
At 9 years old started to study guitar, when he was 17 with his band “Fernando Pareta Trio” began live shows with his own compositions and guitar classics in important places in Buenos Aires like “La Trastienda”, “Hard Rock Café”, “The Cavern”, “Notorious”, among others. He also did interviews and shows in radio and Tv programmes.
In 2003 his first CD “Fernando Pareta Trío”, was release in 2003 with original instrumental music mixing rock, blues, funk and some covers. The quality of his music allowed him to be invited one year after to the “Jemfest” festival in Florida, United States, organized to collect funds for the foundation “Make a noise foundation”, of the famous guitarist “Steve Vai” sharing the stage with from Europe and Usa. Fernando Pareta is invited yearly to the event from 2004 to 2010 year he had the honor of being the headliner of the concert . On June 18 2010, he played again headlining one of the two shows for the 10th anniversary of this important event, with the presence of “Steve VAI”.
In 2005, the2 German..s record label “ESC RECORDS” included his version of Brush with the blues, in the compilated The loner-Tribute to Jeff Beck” sharing the work with Top artists like Scott Henderson, Greg Howe,Richie Kotzen, Steve Lukather, Brett Garsed, John Novello, David Fiuczynski, Billy Sheehan, Gary Willis, Kirk Covington, Dennis Chamber, Vinnie Colaiuta, Virgil Donati y Derek Sherinian. The same version integrated the CD Get Jazzed of the same label, with Randy y Michael Brecker, David Sanborn, Lincoln Goines, Scott Henderson, Simon Phillips, John Humprey, John Scofield, Armand Sabal-Lecco, Frank Gambale, Billy Cobham, Michael Landau, Vinnie Colaiuta, Marcus Miller, John Patitucci and others. Both cds were release in great quantity of countries and obtaining excellent reviews of the international press.
Fernando Pareta has endorsements with important gear companies like Suhr guitars, Bogner amps, Xotic Effects, T-rex pedals, Wampler pedals, Tanglewood guitars, Evidence Cables , Pigtronix, Argie amps and tremol-no and many others.
In 2009 he released his last work in studio called “Complicado”, a perfect mix between blues, jazz, rock and funk, with Oscar Pareta in bass, Jota Morelli in drums and Fernando Monteleone on keyboards.
He was invited several times (2008-2009-2010-2012-2013-2015) to the most important convention in the music industry, “The Namm show” (Anaheim, Ca, Usa) by his endorsements, to perform on their booths.
In July 2010 he was one of 14 guitarists that partipated in the event “Guitar experience” in IFT Theater, sharing the stage with some of the most importants artists of Brasil, Chile and Argentina.
In 2011, as guitarist of the band “AlmaZen” integrated by famous Argentinian drummer Daniel Colombres, They recorded their self-titled album and made a national tour with excellent impact. With “Almazen” also participated in the compilation “Tribute to Litto Nebbia” album with 64 songs involving internationally renowned artists as Leon Gieco, Gustavo Santaolalla, Lito Vitale, Brian Ray, and Pedro Aznar and others.
In July 2011, he signed a contract with record label “Digital-Nations” (Steve Vai musician owned) they distributed the cd complicado worldwide.
In 2012 and 2013 he performed in the “Guitar experience Festival”. In september he traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to do workshops and shows at the prestigious conservatory “Souza Lima”, also interviews in specializaed magazines of that country, such as “Guitar Loud”.
In 2013, he returned to Sao Paulo to make workshops and demos at the most South American important music trade show “ExpoMusic” for the company “Fuhrmann” of Brazil.
In January 2013, he played his music at the “Namm Show” in Anaheim California, doing shows for “T-Rex pedals” from Denmark, “Musiquip” from Canada and the famous Japanese guitar brand “Fujigen guitars”. This year he also sign a contract with “Neworld Records” for a “Complicado” CD reedition worldwide.
In 2014 he did a workshop and a special “Improvisation group lessons” at “Conservatorio Souza Lima” in Sao Paulo, Brazil and also did shows and product demos for the companies “ASK” and “Fire Custom Shop”.
He is currently performing with his own band, performing clinics, demos for different musical products companies, as sesionist and as guitarist in the band of Otto Avalos (Ricardo Arjona`s violinist). He is also part of the Argentinian funk band “La Groovisima”
